Job Overview

The Community & Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing social media, community engagement, reputation management, and audience growth strategies that support Primary Arms' revenue growth, customer acquisition, brand awareness, and customer engagement objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

Social Media Strategy & Governance

· Own the strategic direction, governance, brand voice, reputation management framework, and audience engagement strategy across all company-owned social media channels and communities.

· Develop and execute social media strategies supporting revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.

· Evaluate emerging platforms, technologies, and audience behaviors.

· Recommend social media investments, initiatives, and process improvements.

· Serve as advisor to leadership on social media risks, opportunities, and performance.

· Exercise independent judgment regarding social media governance, brand reputation, and audience engagement strategies.

Community Management & Reputation Oversight

· Serve as the primary owner of social media governance, escalation procedures, response frameworks, and reputation management strategies.

· Monitor social channels for emerging risks, customer sentiment, and engagement opportunities.

· Assess reputational concerns and recommend communication strategies.

· Develop audience engagement initiatives and community growth strategies.

· Participate in departmental social media and community coverage schedules, including monitoring and responding to customer comments, direct messages, forum discussions, and community inquiries as assigned.

· Develop and implement communication strategies addressing reputational risks and business objectives.

Content Strategy & Performance

· Own content planning strategy and channel prioritization.

· Guide content development with creative and multimedia teams.

· Analyze social performance and provide recommendations influencing marketing priorities.

· Manage social advertising strategy and optimization recommendations.

· Present recurring performance reviews and strategic recommendations to leadership.

· Analyze performance metrics and make recommendations regarding budget allocation, resource prioritization, and marketing investments.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

· Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership teams.

· Provide insights that influence business decisions and marketing investments.

· Recommend policy, workflow, and governance improvements.

· Support broader organizational objectives through social media leadership.

· Advise senior leadership regarding social media strategy, brand positioning, and emerging market trends.

Skills and Qualifications

· Two years of college or direct social marketing experience.

· Must have 2 to 3 years of proven working experience as a Social Media Specialist.

· Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.

· Graphic design skills a plus – Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).

· Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

· Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.

· Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.

· Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

· Comfortable being on live broadcasts.

· Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and prioritize work.

· Attend tradeshows and business events.

· Strong firearms knowledge required.

· Social Media Management tools experience is a plus.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
