The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the full-time position

of Complex Needs Facilitator. The start date for this position is July 2,2025.

Position Summary

This position reports to the Manager of Settlement and Family Services and the Settlement Team Leader. The role of this position is to support vulnerable GAR clients with multiple barriers and needs (i.e., learning difficulties and disabilities, mental health, and physical impairments) where Case Workers cannot address the needs. The position will provide direct support and promptly connect clients with the appropriate support services by offering a coordinated, integrated, and multidisciplinary team approach. The service will also utilize a solution-focused, client and family-centered, culturally sensitive, and holistic approach to address the needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete client intake and comprehensive client assessment and goal plan.
  • Assist clients in identifying areas of need and goal development, ensuring goals are attainable and time specific and that the client plays an integral role in the decision-making process.
  • Support the clients in attaining their stated goals.
  • Carry out the functions of psycho-social crisis intervention, including supportive counselling and assistance.
  • Organize and lead Case Management meetings to support clients
  • Refer clients to services and programs in the community
  • Provide crisis intervention services through telephone or face-to-face contact in the client's preferred environment.
  • Encourage the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution, medication management, and other life skills as appropriate.
  • Using a hands-on approach to encourage and motivate and provide life skills training as needed (i.e., cooking, cleaning, accessing public transportation, etc.).
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and their support when appropriate
  • Transport clients in the community as necessary.
  • Connect client with community programs /services and internal or external
  • supports as needed
  • Provide regular follow-up as appropriate (i.e., wellness checks)
  • Work cooperatively with RAP Team.
  • Provide backup assistance to agency programs as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records.
  • Complete and file all necessary file notes, reports and other written documentation on a timely basis and in accordance with agency standards (i.e., financial, narrative, case notes, etc.)
  • Compile statistics
  • Conduct and develop a program evaluation report
  • Other duties as required

Desired qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work and work experience in a related field is a requirement. Additional requirements include excellent communication, para-professional counselling, cross-cultural, leadership, motivational, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will possess the skills necessary to develop the program and work cooperatively and professionally as a representative of RODS in the community. The successful applicant will also require a criminal and vulnerable record check, a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driver's abstract.

Other requirements include the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to families undergoing high stress and trauma.
  • Ability to organize and lead case management meetings
  • Broad knowledge of community programs and resources
  • Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced, and demanding environment
  • Demonstrated maturity, the ability to work cross-culturally, a positive attitude, the ability to document cases, excellent computer skills, and effective organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Working Conditions:

This position will work in the office and the community. This position will be required to work evenings and weekends to support clients. May be required to carry up to 15 lbs.

Regular work hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. This position will be required to work after hours (evenings and weekends). There is a cost-shared benefits package and a 3% employer contribution to the Saskatchewan Pension Plan available to the employee

with the successful completion of a six-month probationary period. The annual salary for this position is $54,440.59($31.02 per hour)
