About the role
Working as part of the NDIS team the Compliance Coordinator role will maintain an effective and consistent approach to service delivery under the direction of the Quality risk and Compliance Manager. The position requires the person to have a commitment to the aims and objectives of Bamara NDIS by ensuring all compliance components are monitored and maintained across the NDIS program working closely with our Quality and compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client intake to ensure that medical conditions are within the scope of our services, as well as ensuring that all staff are fully trained to deal with specific care needs of the participants they will be working with.
Skills and Experiences:
Qualifications /Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse (must have current registration)
- National Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver's License
- NDIS Workers Clearance check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- Ability to communicate with nonverbal clients
- Ability to effectively record session notes in a legible manner
- Show compassion and patience for those with disabilities
- Be mindful of the level of support required for each participant
- Ability to understand the different types of disabilities
- Ability to utilise smart phones and computers to document sessions and clock on for shifts
- Ability to develop and implement/monitor individual plans
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct
- Relates well to all kinds of people, inside and outside the organisation
- Builds appropriate rapport and constructive relationships
- Uses diplomacy and tact
- Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, pressured environment and against tight deadlines
- Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information
- Dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- Acts with customers in mind, is seen as clear, truthful and trusted
- Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully
