About the Role
Reporting to the Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager, the Compliance and Governance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal compliance systems and governance frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background, an interest in corporate governance or regulatory compliance, and a commitment to integrity and excellence.

Skills and Experiences:
Desired Skills and Experience
Must have National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS) auditing experience.
Assist in the monitoring and tracking of compliance obligations, policies, and procedures.
Support governance activities including the preparation of board and committee meeting papers, minutes, and agendas.
Maintain registers such as conflicts of interest, delegations and document retention.
Assist in compliance reporting and audit preparations.
Coordinate compliance training and policy rollouts across the organization.
Maintain accurate records in governance and compliance systems.
Provide general administrative support to the compliance and governance teams.
Support risk management and internal control initiatives as required.
Experience in an administrative, legal, governance, or compliance-related role.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Familiarity with corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, or risk management is highly desirable.
A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
Ability to travel when required.
