About this role:

Our TP (Takeaway Payments) Compliance team ensures that TP complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. As a Compliance Officer, you will secure payment services for consumers, restaurants, and other businesses such as retail and groceries. You will provide compliance advice and training to the first-line teams across countries.

The following ingredients are essential for the role:

• Proactively educate, support, and advise the team & key stakeholders (e.g. the first-line) on AML/CFT and sanction-related topics.
• Proactively identify and advise the Head of Compliance and the Management Board of TP on compliance obligations related to (upcoming) laws and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments on watchlist-screening hits related to adverse media, PEPs, and sanctions.
• Conduct second-line transaction monitoring investigations and report unusual transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit Netherlands.
• Work together with the Data & Analytics team of JET to further improve and enhance the transaction monitoring process.

What will you bring to the table?

• Experience in a similar role within the financial industry, which is a strong plus.
• Thorough understanding of AML/CFT legislation, particularly WWFT, WFT, and SW, coupled with legal expertise.
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed analytical and decision-making abilities to make accurate and appropriate judgments on compliance-related matters.
• Ability to inspire, convince, and align with stakeholders while understanding commercial challenges.
• A preference for working in a dynamic environment in the platform/payments industry.
• Reliability in delivering on commitments and managing expectations.
