Compliance Officer - New World Gore

Position: Compliance Officer

Location: New World Gore Hours: 15 hours over 3 days per week.

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and interested in Health and Safety and Food Safety? We are looking for a Compliance Officer to provide essential administrative support and help ensure our store meets regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

As a Compliance Officer, you will work closely with department managers and team members to assist with record-keeping, training coordination, and compliance documentation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with different teams, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping things organised and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety records
• Help ensure compliance with the Foodstuffs South Island Ltd Food Control Plan
• Support the coordination of staff training sessions and compliance reminders
• Keep track of policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
• Assist in preparing reports and providing information to department managers
• Work collaboratively with staff from all backgrounds to maintain a safe and inclusive workplace

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern technology
• Attention to detail and ability to manage compliance documentation
• Good communication skills to liaise with managers and staff
• A team player who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds
• An interest in Health & Safety or Food Safety (experience preferred but not essential)
