About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Compliance Officer to join our growing UK healthcare recruitment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end compliance process for healthcare candidates, ensuring all required documentation, checks, references and training are completed and verified before candidates are placed into work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end compliance process for healthcare candidates.
  • Complete and maintain Right to Work, DBS, identity and address verification checks.
  • Obtain, verify and maintain employment and professional references.
  • Monitor mandatory training and ensure all certificates remain valid and up to date.
  • Review candidate files against company, client and UK healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records on internal systems and recruitment platforms.
  • Track outstanding, missing and expired documentation and proactively follow up with candidates.
  • Ensure candidates are fully compliant before being submitted for shifts or placements.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and identify missing information, discrepancies or compliance gaps.
  • Support internal and client compliance audits and assist with corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance trackers and prepare daily and weekly compliance reports.
  • Escalate compliance issues, discrepancies or delays to management promptly.
  • Ensure candidate information is handled securely and in accordance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
  • Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to resolve compliance issues efficiently.
  • Stay updated on relevant UK healthcare recruitment compliance requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in UK healthcare recruitment compliance, HR compliance or staffing compliance.
  • Good understanding of UK healthcare recruitment compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience handling DBS checks, Right to Work checks, references and mandatory training.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to documentation.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple candidate files, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and recruitment or HR systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance gaps.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working for a UK healthcare recruitment agency.
  • Knowledge of CQC compliance requirements.
  • Experience with platforms such as CareLineLive, Care Hires, Citation or similar recruitment/HR compliance systems.
  • Previous experience supporting client or internal compliance audits.
  • Experience working with healthcare workers such as nurses, carers, healthcare assistants or support workers.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
