The Opportunity
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable individual to join our team as a Concrete Batcher based in the Lynn Lake, Manitoba area. This is a hands-on role suited for a safety-conscious and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing high-quality concrete and maintaining efficient plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately batching concrete, monitoring plant performance, and coordinating with dispatch and operations to ensure timely and consistent product delivery.
Your Day-to-Day
- Mix and monitor concrete according to specific requirements and quality standards.
- Operate batching equipment to load trucks for transportation ensuring that all materials are loaded correctly and in the proper quantity.
- Maintain accurate logs of batch quantities, materials used, and other relevant records.
- Performing daily plant inspections and coordinating daily toolbox talks.
- Perform material testing and sampling to ensure product quality.
- Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Rotational shift schedule of two (2) weeks in and two (2) weeks out including evening work as required
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
You Are a Good Fit If You Have
Required:
- Prior experience working in concrete and/or aggregate industries
- High School diploma or equivalent
Considered an Asset:
- Relevant post-secondary education such as a degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field
- Prior supervisory experience
Skills & Abilities:
- Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third-party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors)
- Proficiency in using batching software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to perform physically intensive and strenuous tasks
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
- Ability to supervisor others, work independently and meet deadlines
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic

The pay range posted reflects base compensation only. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Benefits and other incentives are offered separately.
