Job Overview

Wintec is seeking reliable and experienced Concrete Construction Workers to join our construction team. This position involves concrete finishing, forming/framing, general concrete labour, and other construction duties depending on project requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience, works well as part of a crew, follows directions and safety procedures, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete finishing work, including bull floating and hand troweling, to achieve a smooth and professional finish.
• Assist with the forming and framing of concrete structures, ensuring forms are properly positioned and constructed according to project specifications.
• Read and understand grades, elevations, measurements, and site plans to assist with accurate construction and placement.
• Perform general concrete labour, including shoveling, placing, spreading, and moving gravel and concrete.
• Assist with preparing work areas, setting forms, placing reinforcement, and preparing surfaces for concrete placement.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist concrete crews with pouring, placing, leveling, finishing, and clean-up activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable workplace safety requirements.
• Perform other general construction and labour duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in concrete construction, forming/framing, concrete finishing, or general construction labour.
• Hands-on experience with bull floating and hand troweling is considered an asset and may be required for finishing positions.
• Experience with concrete forming/framing and the ability to read and understand grades and elevations.
• Experience shoveling, moving, placing, and working with gravel and concrete.
• Ability to safely operate common hand tools and power tools used in concrete and construction work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently when required, and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Commitment to following all workplace health and safety requirements.

Pay: $21.03-$35.93 per hour
