Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as familiarity with related construction skills such as rebar installation, masonry, and blueprint reading.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve desired textures and smoothness.
- Set forms and install rebar according to schematics and blueprints to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for pouring and leveling concrete.
- Perform masonry tasks such as caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute project specifications accurately.
- Coordinate with carpentry teams for form building and other related tasks during concrete placement.
- Apply finishing techniques including troweling, floating, edging, and brooming to meet project standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces for cracks, imperfections, or inconsistencies.
- Assist in the setup of scaffolding or other safety equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor required for material handling and site preparation.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Skills in rebar installation, carpentry, masonry, welding, and flooring installation are highly desirable.
- Experience with concrete forming processes and the use of hand tools and power tools required for detailed finishing work.
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and renovation projects is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in demanding construction environments. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team on diverse construction projects.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
