Civilmart – Shepparton Pipes are seeking 2x Concrete Patchers on an ongoing full-time basis.
Description:
The Concrete Patcher plays a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality precast concrete products at Civilmart, including pipes and box culverts. This position is responsible for identifying and repairing surface defects—such as chips, cracks, small holes, pits, and breaks—after products are removed from their moulds. Using materials such as render, megapoxy, and other approved repair compounds, the Concrete Patcher restores products to meet Civilmart’s quality standards.
Some duties you will perform includes:
Inspect and repair defects in precast concrete products once removed from moulds, ensuring a smooth, clean, and high-quality finish. This includes, but is not limited to:
Repairing chips, cracks, and surface imperfections
Rebuilding edges, corners, and pits
Filling voids and smoothing rough surfaces
Applying surface treatments or coatings as required
Render, patch, and finish concrete articles using appropriate tools such as floats, trowels, and grinders to achieve specified textures and finishes.
Perform minor repairs to tools, moulds, and products as necessary.
Operate flexibly within the production line, assisting in various stages of the manufacturing process as directed.
Operate mobile plant and equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, if licensed and required.

Skills and Experiences:
Skills, qualifications, and experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in Production, Concreting and/or construction preferred
- Forklift licence (desired, not mandatory)
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating, cleaning, and maintaining machinery.
- Attention to detail to spot defects and meet specifications.
- Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Able to work safely and follow all WHS procedures.
- Flexible across different production areas to meet targets.
- Licensed and able to operate a forklift safely.
- Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, including Drug and Alcohol screening.
