Confidential Recruit: Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer
This is a rare opportunity to operate at the heart of a dynamic sports and entertainment media company. As the Assistant to the President and Chief Executive Officer, you will provide operational support to the CEO and the senior leadership team, to ensure seamless coordination of executive activities. This role is integral to maintaining efficiency within the CEO’s office, handling scheduling, communications, and project support while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Anticipate the needs of the CEO, proactively identifying solutions.
- Support the management of the CEO’s complex, multi-time-zone calendar.
- Ensure the CEO is on time and aware of meetings, calendar items, events, etc.
- Provide assistance in monitoring email and key tasks.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and track follow-up actions.
- Schedule travel logistics with precision.
- Travel with the CEO as needed to assist with on the ground tasks – both personal and professional.
- Organize, maintain, and protect sensitive digital and physical records and documentation for ease of reference (tagging/titling) and confidentiality.
- Leverage productivity tools
- Work closely with the President to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Communication & Coordination
- Act as communication liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders to communicate key messages and determine priorities/organize information flow.
- Take notes at meetings and track follow ups and to do items, call list, etc.
- Provide updates from the CEO to the leadership team.
- Draft notes on behalf of the CEO in accordance with instructions.
- Support coordination with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
Project Assistance
- Help track progress on key initiatives and prepare status updates.
- Assist in compiling reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive meetings.
- Conduct basic research on industry trends or competitors as requested.
Personal Support
- Provide support to the President on personal tasks and initiatives as required.
Skills & Competencies

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–3 years of corporate experience, ideally in a fast-paced, executive-facing environment.
- Experience in media, sports, or entertainment industries is a significant asset, or genuine passion for sports, media, and entertainment—and the drive to build a career at the intersection of all three.
- Location: in office Downtown, Toronto
Compensation
Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
