Construction Inspector

INSPECTION COVERAGE AREA:

• DMV

HOURS: Full-Time

• Work hours must be during daylight hours, Monday-Friday

COMPENSATION: Salary based on experience - Fee per inspection

DCMI is looking for a self-motivated individual to work remotely as a Construction Inspector. This entails creating your own schedule based on assignments and receiving/submitting work reports via our cloud-based service.

Inspectors work from home and travel to projects under construction in surrounding areas to complete on-site inspections. Inspector will visit the project, assess the current work in place, comment on any inconsistencies or code/quality concerns and remit detailed report in a timely manner.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must own a smartphone, computer, and printer.
• Regular and reliable access to high-speed internet.
• Must have valid driver’s license, own a reliable vehicle, have car insurance and be the insured driver on the policy.
• Business casual attire and steel-toe boots.
• Ability to sit/stand and walk for long periods of time. Crouching, lifting light objects, and walking on uneven grounds is frequent.
• Must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable entering homes to complete interior inspections.
• Must be able to maintain production and quality standards.

PREFERRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

• Customer service
• Construction experience
• Remote work experience
• Time management skills
• Microsoft Office
• OSHA, IBC and ASHI certifications are a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
