Construction Labourer-Glass Installation

Glass Inc. is a highly reputable local glass business serving the Niagara Region and beyond. We are currently seeking committed and hard-working individuals with construction experience to assist with our Glass Installers.

You will be working under the supervision of an experienced Glass Installer as a Helper/Labourer to start, with the potential to become a full Glass Installer as your career progresses. You will always be teamed up with another team member and your role would include (but is not limited to): installing custom frameless glass shower enclosures, frameless glass railings (interior/exterior), glass and mirror walls, office partitions, wine rooms, glass backsplashes & frameless mirror applications for residential and commercial buildings. You will also be responsible for carefully loading & unloading products, cleaning up, keeping work areas organized, prepping & cutting mirrors in-shop as well as other hardware for installation and reporting back to the office of any issues on-site.

The qualified candidate should possess the following skills:

• Must be handy and familiar with a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Be in good physical condition as job requires heavy lifting
• Ability to read a tape measure & architectural drawings and shop drawings (familiarity with both imperial & metric measurements)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction in fractional format
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, independently and as a team member
• Ability to measure accurately with the assistance of lasers and levels with strong attention to detail
• Ability to troubleshoot issues on site
• Excellent customer service skills
• Can work well with others and be a team player
• Previous construction experience is required!!!
• Valid G license an asset
