We are a CCIL-certified testing laboratory specializing in concrete, soils, and asphalt testing. Our team includes Certified Engineering Technologists, Applied Science Technologists, and a Professional Engineer, all committed to safety, accuracy, and quality.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician with some experience in concrete testing. Concrete will be the primary focus of this role. Training will be provided for asphalt and soils testing, as well as additional concrete procedures for the right candidate.
This position involves field-based work on active construction sites and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field concrete testing (slump, air, temperature, cylinders)
- Sample and test fresh concrete in accordance with project specifications
- Conduct asphalt testing including compaction testing using a nuclear densitometer (training provided)
- Conduct soils and aggregate testing including compaction testing (training provided)
- Review civil drawings to confirm test locations and elevations
- Communicate test results and site observations to clients and supervisors
- Complete and submit accurate reports on time
- Coordinate with dispatch and site personnel to maintain schedules
- Maintain, calibrate, and care for testing equipment
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience with concrete
- Willingness to learn asphalt and soils testing
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic math skills and ability to read civil drawings
- Safety-conscious and reliable

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
