Role Overview
The Construction Plant Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a busy fleet of construction plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, and teleporters. The role ensures all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of plant machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a wide range of construction equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns both in the workshop and on-site as required.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to minimise downtime and improve fleet reliability.
Work Environment
- Approximately 70% workshop-based work - The workshop is based in Kilcock, Co.Meath
- Approximately 30% site-based work, attending breakdowns and performing on-site servicing when required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in plant fitting, mechanical repair, or a similar role.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with construction plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, and teleporters.
- Good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €60,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
