North Mountain Construction is a growing, residential, commercial, and Industrial construction company serving communities throughout Western Canada. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Safety Officer (CSO) to join our team and help drive our commitment to safety excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all projects.
• Provide daily safety support to project teams, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and COR requirements.
• Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses.
• Maintain safety records, training logs, and reports.
• Support return-to-work and injury management programs.

What You Bring to the Role

• Minimum 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and BC construction safety requirements.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• NCSO, CSO, CRSP, COR Auditor, or equivalent designation preferred.
• Occupational Health & Safety Diploma or Certificate preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

• Nelson, BC: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

• Construction Safety: 2 years (required)
