Construction Site Store Keeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and organized Construction Site Store Keeper to manage the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment at our construction site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of supplies, maintaining accurate records, and safeguarding assets. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of daily construction activities by providing timely access to necessary resources while minimizing waste and loss.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the construction site.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and/or digital systems, ensuring all stock movements are properly documented.
• Issue materials, tools, and equipment to site personnel as per authorized requisitions, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records to identify discrepancies and investigate variances.
• Organize and maintain the storeroom and yard areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement or project management teams to reorder materials well in advance to prevent shortages.
• Implement and maintain security measures to prevent theft or damage of stored items.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, consumption rates, and material usage for project management.
• Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules and return of defective or excess materials.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely, if certified and required, for loading and unloading.
• Ensure that all materials are stored in appropriate conditions to prevent deterioration or damage.
