Position: Construction Site Superintendent
Location: Orlando/Maitland
Company: FB Construction, LLC.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Site Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the successful completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role requires managing both the preconstruction and project execution phases, acting as the primary on-site representative of the company. The Construction Site Superintendent will collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain excellent relationships and ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Supervision and Coordination: Lead and manage the project team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and review construction plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Bidding Support: Assist in the bidding phase by contacting potential bidders to maximize competition and interest in the project.
Contract Administration
- Contract Oversight: Have a comprehensive understanding of all contract and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Procurement: Assist with the preparation of trade contracts and bid packages, overseeing the procurement process as required.
- Documentation Management: Maintain a follow-up file on all sub/trade contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure timely returns and compliance.
Quality and Safety Control
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Safety Management: Establish and uphold safety protocols in line with the company’s safety bulletins and regulations, conducting regular site safety audits.
Communication and Reporting
- Regular Updates: Prepare weekly jobsite reports and ensure timely updates of daily reports in RedTeam, documenting project progress and issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective relationships with the Owner, Architect, and Engineer, providing updates and facilitating regular meetings to discuss project status.
Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Permit Acquisition: Obtain necessary permits for construction activities and ensure compliance with all insurance and regulatory requirements.
- Labor Relations: Manage job labor relations, ensuring adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity standards.
Problem-Solving and Innovation
- Issue Resolution: Proactively address potential problems and collaborate with the project team to identify solutions.
- Constructability Reviews: Perform constructability reviews to ensure project feasibility and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction supervision or project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Software for project management and cost estimation.
- Proficient in project scheduling tools.
