PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
General Summary:
A Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Job Description - Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Directing and controlling the work activities of construction workers
- Analyzing and making decisions on budget, schedule, and quality of work
- Providing leadership and guidance to subordinates
- Maintaining effective communication with clients, managers, and other stakeholders
- Inspecting all sites
- Coordinating with contractors and engineers
- Managing the budget and expenditure
- Purchasing necessary materials and equipment
- Making schedules
- Managing project schedules
- Monitoring the progress of the Construction Workers in the team
- Ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Following quality standards
- Ensuring the safety and security of the construction site
- Communicating and negotiating with external partners, such as vendors and lawyers
- Acting as a liaison and working closely with the project manager, architects, engineers, and inspectors
- Communicating progress updates to stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
· Effective communication skills, natural leadership abilities, and familiarity with construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Must be detailed oriented, punctual, and work well within a team.
· Initiate tasks and execute accurately.
· Ability to administer several tasks independently and concurrently.
· Team player with self-confidence and professional presence.
· Possess a positive attitude and work ethic.
· Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
· Passionate, self-motivated, and dedicated to high-quality work.
Experience & Education/Certification:
· High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
· A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and full benefits package including medical, vision and dental insurance, supplemental insurance, paid time off and holidays, and 401k. Annual performance based bonuses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
