Essential Functions
The Surveyor is responsible for measuring, mapping, and setting out land and structures to ensure construction projects are completed accurately and in compliance with design specifications. This includes but is not limited to:
- Conduct site surveys, staking, and field measurements to establish reference points, boundaries, and elevations.
- Verify existing site conditions, dimensions, elevations, and layouts using Trimble GPS systems.
- Document site features including utilities, structural elements, obstacles, and access points.
- Use surveying equipment such as total station, GPS, machine control setup, and laser levels.
- Conduct foundation layout using Trimble Data Collector and Total Station.
- Set up machine control and perform cuts and fills in Trimble Business Center.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of field surveying, construction layout, or related experience using Trimble total station. Must be proficient with measurement tools (laser measuring devices, tape measures, levels, etc). Must be proficient in AutoCad, Trimble Business Center or similar programs, and Microsoft Tools. Also have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
