Your typical day will include:
- Team Briefing: Start with a meeting with your project team to discuss daily objectives, key deliverables, and any challenges that need addressing.
- Workshops and Training Sessions: Facilitate workshops or training sessions for client teams to support the implementation of new processes or systems. This is crucial for driving successful change adoption.
- Client Feedback and Planning: Prepare for upcoming client presentations by reviewing feedback, refining proposals, and planning next steps. This may involve collaborating with other Deloitte experts and research to incorporate best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Update project documentation, including progress reports, strategic plans, and change management frameworks, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Data Analysis and Strategy Development: Spend time analysing client data to identify trends and insights. Use this information to refine strategies or develop new solutions tailored to client needs.
- Mentorship and Team Support: Provide guidance and support to junior consultants, offering feedback on their work and helping them develop their skills within the project context.
- Personal Development: Dedicate time for personal learning to stay updated with industry trends and enhance your consulting skills. This might include reading relevant articles, attending networking events, or participating in internal training sessions.
- Collaborate with the national Human Capital Practice to contribute to practice and business development activities.
Qualifications
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- Experience: For Consultants, 2-4 years, and for Senior Consultants, 4-7 years, preferably in consulting or professional services environment and/or HR/people/talent development roles. Senior Consultants should also have some past team leadership/management experience in a professional capacity.
- Qualification: A tertiary qualification relevant to people at work and business understanding is desired. Topics include, but are not limited to: Change Management, Organisational Development, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership Studies, Business Administration, Adult Education, Human Resource Development/Management, Communications, Labour Economics, and Behavioural Theory.
- Expertise: Proven experience in areas such as designing and delivering organisational operating models, change management programmes, organisation redesign, learning and development strategies, strategic workforce planning and succession planning.
- Communication Skills: Requires near-native fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to create compelling presentations and reports.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to gain trust and confidence from colleagues and clients through effective collaboration.
- Project Management: Developed skills in managing complex, multi-faceted projects, ensuring successful delivery.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative abilities to identify root causes and offer clear, logical solutions.
