We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our team as a content specialist.

Job Overview:

As a Content Specialist you will be an integral part of our production team and will work closely with designers, developers and marketers. You will write, edit, produce, source, and coordinate the creation of assets for JTech and our clients including website copy, images, and educational/promotional videos. This role is designed for someone that loves identifying, analyzing, and implementing facts-based content strategies for a diverse base of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Content Development

  • Interview clients to develop an in-depth understanding of their brand, audience, and business.
  • Write, proof and edit marketing copy in the appropriate voice and tone for each client.
  • Guide clients through the content creation process, from outline to final copy.
  • Test and prepare websites for client trainings and final website launch.
  • Offer experience-based content strategy advice.
  • Source or create images and videos based on each client’s unique needs.
  • Communicate in a prompt, helpful, friendly manner to schedule client meetings and answer questions.

Internal Content Development

  • Write promotional content like emails, blogs, social posts, physical advertisements, and video scripts.
  • Create or source photos or videos for use in promotions.
  • Work closely with graphic designers to produce compelling and beautiful compositions.
  • Working closely with the Digital Marketing team to implement their content vision.
  • Appropriately incorporate and harness keywords provided by the Digital Marketing department.

Reporting and Administration

  • Track and report on progress for key indicators of content marketing success.
  • Identify and resolve issues and risks related to project budgets, timelines and client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, english, communications, another related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in marketing communications or other content creation role.

Experience:

  • Real world experience writing, editing, and proofreading marketing copy for websites and online publications (i.e. blog articles, email marketing, promotions/ads, and social media posts).
  • The ability to provide a communications portfolio or packet of work that demonstrates your expertise.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and soft skills.
  • Proficiency in a range of office machines and software (Mac OSX, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher, Apple Mail/Pages/Numbers, Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, Google AdWords/Analytics).
  • Meticulous documentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience delivering creative marketing copy in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with SEO and SEO tools is a plus.
  • Project management skills or experience are a plus.
