Are you passionate about turning messy, incomplete data into meaningful insights? We’re looking for a hands-on, curious Data Analyst to join our team on a 4-month contract and help accelerate a strategic “White Space” project.
This initiative is all about unlocking new opportunities by reconciling and enriching our internal customer data with valuable external information. You’ll be digging into data from multiple sources, helping us improve quality and usability, and supporting our Data Engineering and Data Science teams to move faster.
If you enjoy solving puzzles with data, experimenting with new approaches, and delivering insights that make an impact, this is a chance to jump in and add real value.
What You’ll Do:
- Collect and research data from external sources, including APIs and online resources.
- Clean, transform, and prepare imperfect internal datasets for use in analysis.
- Run and support pre-built workflows (such as notebooks in DataBricks).
- Perform data labeling and categorization to enhance usability.
- Summarize findings and create clear reports/visualizations using Excel and/or Power BI.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to identify and fix data quality issues.
- Document processes and methods to ensure knowledge is captured for future use.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with data collection, cleaning, and preparation.
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI (or similar) for reporting and visualization.
- Exposure to APIs or scripting (e.g., Python) to query and extract data.
- Comfortable executing pre-built notebooks or workflows in a data environment (e.g., DataBricks).
- Strong research abilities and attention to detail with messy or incomplete data.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Machine Learning and Generative AI tools.
- Familiarity with lightweight scripting for web scraping or data gathering.
- Experience with Power Automate or other automation tools.
Why Join?
This role offers the chance to work on a high-visibility project, sharpen your data skills, and contribute directly to unlocking new business opportunities. You’ll collaborate with talented technical teams while owning key parts of the process in a flexible contract role.
Contract Term: 4 months (with possibility of extension).
Location: Remote (preferred).
