We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services to patients undergoing various medical and surgical procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting vital signs and changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services within the unit.

Experience

• A valid Nursing registration with the relevant regulatory body is essential.
• Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
