This is a contract role for a period of 16 to 18 months.

As a Total Rewards Specialist at Husky, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of company global salary and benefits policy and design for employees. You will gain insight into working for a global company and the variations in plan design and compensation required to attract and retain talent.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of benefits and compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits:
  • Manage the design of group benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement savings plans, in partnership with external brokers
  • Manage global vendor relationships and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure these programs meet employee needs
  • Oversee annual open enrollment processes in the US, including planning, employee education, and preparation of employee communications
  • Maintain benefits plan configuration in Oracle HCM and act as the primary support for the HR team to review any issues
  • Conduct annual review of global benefit plans and spend to identify short term changes required
  • Complete annual compliance reporting
Pension Plan:
  • Support annual pension plan audits as required for Canada and the US
  • Facilitate pension committee meetings in Canada and the US by reviewing materials, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring appropriate representation
  • Coordinate employee education sessions for Canada and the US by scheduling external educators, preparing materials, participating in sessions, and identifying local support to coordinate in the US as required
Compensation:
  • Support global compensation strategy through various tasks including salary survey participation, salary range maintenance, job evaluations, pay policy and guidelines.
  • Act as the first point of contact for total rewards inquires for benefits, pension, and compensation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • University degree in Human Resource, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years compensation and benefits experience supporting organizational strategy
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM benefits and compensation, or similar HRIS system
  • Experience with global benefits and benefits redesign is an asset
  • Knowledge of job evaluation principles and experience in using a range of job evaluation methodologies as well as ensuring pay equity compliance.
  • Experience with contract and vendor management
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in compensation and benefits analysis
  • Strong numeric, data manipulation and analytical skills, and strong ability to create insight from data. Advanced excel capabilities.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $98,000
