We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Controller for a key role in our Client Reporting team.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive Controlling services to clients, including international and Finnish-based Investment and Asset Managers. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders, such as financial specialists, lease administrators, property and technical managers, and dedicated Client Managers. Understanding client requirements and ensuring efficient ways of working are essential.

You will maintain and build strong relationships both internally and externally with the financial team, property management team, other business functions, partners, and clients. You’ll have the support of professional yet easy-going finance colleagues.

You understand real estate, financial standards, and processes. You are productive, energetic, and capable of handling tight deadlines. You thrive in environments that involve people, processes and you approach challenges with curiosity and a development-oriented mindset. Key responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage finance-related tasks in alignment with the Client Engagement Letter
  • Execute finance-related services for clients, collaborating with team members. An autonomous role that offers opportunities to influence work processes professionally, supported by experienced colleagues. This includes management of the month-end and year-end closings, journal and general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations, balance sheet analytics, and other reporting submissions for external clients.
  • Manage customer expectations and act as the key finance contact for selected clients
  • Support the Client Manager from a financial perspective
  • Actively foster long-term client relationships
  • Share experiences and insights across the finance client teams, and escalate issues to the Director, Client Accounting, and the Client Manager with proposed solutions

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, controlling, or similar roles in real estate
  • A drive and can-do attitude combined with excellent teamwork skills
  • Solid knowledge of real estate accounting, VAT, FAS and IFRS (knowledge of CIT is a plus)
  • Excellent understanding of auditing and a comprehensive understanding of interconnected processes
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP / accounting systems and reporting software
  • An ability to understand the big picture and how elements interrelate
  • Proven experience working with varied clients or multiple companies is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, both verbal and written
