Convenience Retail Manager (Ballinhassig, West Cork)

Reporting to: Area Manager or Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations:

- Manage daily store operations, including sales, customer service & inventory management

- Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and loyalty

2. Staff Management:

- Lead, train, and develop store staff to achieve sales and customer service goals

- Foster a positive work environment and promote team collaboration

3. Merchandising and Inventory:

- Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and product displays

- Optimize product mix and pricing to drive sales and profitability

4. Sales and Promotions:

- Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to drive sales growth

- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies accordingly

5. Health and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment

6. Financial Management:

- Manage store finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

- Analyze financial reports and take corrective action as needed

7. Customer Service:

- Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer complaints

- Implement customer loyalty programs and feedback mechanisms

Requirements:

1. Retail management experience, preferably in convenience retail

2. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

3. Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions

4. Basic math skills for inventory management and financial analysis

5. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays

Skills:

1. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness

2. Excellent leadership and team management skills

3. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

5. Proficient in retail management software and systems

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range €40,000 to €45,000

Expected hours: between 40 & 45hrs per week

Additional pay:

• Annual Performance Bonus of €5k

Schedule:

• 5 days over 7 days
• Holidays
