We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering delicious meals that exceed our guests' expectations while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, including portion control and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Experience:

• Cooking in a Commercial Kitchen: 2 years (required)
• Cooking Preparation: 1 year (required)
