- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Grill or cook meats, veggies, and other ingredients as per order specifications.
- Prepare ingredients in advance (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, etc.).
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Assemble pitas and salads accurately and quickly.
- Preparing and cooking food
- Operate grill and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Toast, wrap, and serve pitas with attention to portion control and presentation.
- Customize meals according to customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- may plan menus and estimate food requirements
- may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
