Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef/Cook in their Education sector to join our team at Fife College, Kirkcaldy Campus, Kirkcaldy, KY11 1EX.

You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

What we offer:

This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, term time only. You will be working 40 weeks out of the year - a rarity when you work within culinary!
The annual salary is £23,000.

A day in the life of a Chef / Cook:

You will be preparing both hot and cold food, alongside deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads and fruit pots) and assisting in running the busy College Refectory.
You will be serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and carrying out Food Safety at all times.
Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside assisting with storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit on a daily/weekly basis.
Organising and coordinating hospitality
This is a fully 'hands on' operational role.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
Cooking/Culinary qualification is desirable however we will also consider experience!
Previous experience working within a school environment would be beneficial
Excellent customer service skills
