Full-Time Cook / Chef – Chef Wong Huntingdale

Chef Wong is looking for a full-time Cook/Chef to join our friendly and growing team at our Huntingdale restaurant.

We specialise in handmade Cantonese dim sum and casual yum cha, and we're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and enjoys being part of a busy kitchen team.

Experience in Cantonese cuisine or dim sum is NOT required. We will provide training in our recipes, cooking methods and kitchen systems.

About the Role

This is a hands-on kitchen role where you'll be trained across different areas of the Chef Wong kitchen.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Preparing ingredients and food for service
• Steaming, frying, stir-frying and baking
• Cooking and serving dishes according to Chef Wong recipes
• Following our established cooking procedures and portioning
• Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
• Keeping your work area clean and organised
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Working together with the kitchen and restaurant team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Is reliable and punctual
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Is willing to learn our cooking methods and systems
• Can follow recipes and procedures consistently
• Works well as part of a team
• Has good communication skills
• Has flexible availability, including weekends

Asian or Cantonese cooking experience is an advantage, but not essential.

More importantly, we're looking for someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
