Summary

We are seeking a talented Cook to join our culinary team at St. Charles Village. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met while fostering a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Able to cook and serve appetizing meals to our residents while being the only cook on duty. We do not have line cooks.
• Prepare a variety of meals that cater to the dietary needs of residents from scratch
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training new team members.
• Help manage inventory informing the Dietary Manager of supplies needed to maintain kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating healthy meals.
• Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
