- Permanent full time position, 35 hours per week

About the role:
With a strong focus on best-practice planning outcomes, timely decision-making, and meaningful community engagement, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for assessing and providing recommendations on a diverse range of development proposals. From small scale projects to highly complex developments engaging with Campbelltown’s Design Excellence Panel, Local Planning Panel, and the Sydney Western City Planning Panel, you will play a key role in shaping the city’s future.
What we are seeking:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Development Assessment Team in a full-time, permanent role. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A genuine commitment to living our values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Trust, and Optimism.
- Relevant qualifications in urban development, city planning, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, support, and guide professional staff.
- Strong planning and coordination skills, with a track record of managing complex activities and projects.
- Extensive experience in development assessment, across a range of application types and scales.
- Deep knowledge of town planning concepts, urban design principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation effectively.
- A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
- A valid Construction Induction (White Card) or the ability to obtain one.
