About the Role
The Coordinator, Library Makerspace will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Croydon Library Makerspace, a pilot initiative delivered in partnership between Swinburne Library and the Croydon VET campus. This trial program will run from August to November 2025. Working under general direction, the coordinator will play a key role in supporting this innovative space designed to foster hands-on learning, creativity, and cross-disciplinary engagement among students.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth daily operation of the Makerspace, welcoming users and supporting their exploration of the space. You will provide guidance on the safe and effective use of tools and materials, foster a collaborative and respectful atmosphere, and encourage users to engage meaningfully with the resources available. You will also be responsible for monitoring attendance, tracking materials usage and inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records related to procedures, instructions, and risk assessments.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for creativity, hands-on learning, and diverse student engagement, who is eager to contribute to a vibrant and evolving educational initiative.
