Position Title: Coordinator

Team and Group: Ministerial and Executive Services, Performance and Governance

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time (38 hours per week)

Location: Wellington CBD office (Queens Wharf)

Salary: $62,867 - $76,122 per annum (+ KiwiSaver)

About the opportunity | Nga whakamarama mo te tunga

The Ministerial and Executive Services team is responsible for the Ministry's corporate accountability, plan and reporting and official correspondence functions. Recently, a new operating model was established to deliver functions more efficiently and better support the Ministry to meet its statutory obligations and performance targets.

In the newly created coordinator role, you'll be engaging with teams and colleagues across the Ministry, providing high-quality customer service and support. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills and experience and be part of implementing a new way of working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the flow of all official correspondence
  • Compiling material for the Ministry's Output Plan
  • Coordinate the Ministry's responses to coronial findings and Transport Accident Investigation Commission reports
  • Compiling the Weekly Report for the Minister
  • Providing coordination support to select committee processes, including annual review and estimates.

What you'll bring | Te wahi ki a koe

  • A tertiary qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience in the review, design, mapping and implementation of business processes
  • Experience in utilising working relationships to improve business practices
  • Experience operating in a fast paced and changeable work environment, demonstrating your agility to respond
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficient time management and organisational skills, including an ability to handle high flows of information and working under pressure
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and products.

This is an excellent opportunity to draw on your previous coordination experience and contribute to making improvements that will have a positive impact on our work. Experience working with in a similar ministerial environment and/or knowledge in the machinery of government will be highly desirable.

Salary range | Whanuitanga Utu a-Tau

The base salary range budget for this position is $62,867 - $76,122 per annum + KiwiSaver. The salary offered will reflect skills and experience.
