Are you looking to deepen your understanding of risk management, specifically focusing on methods of risk transfer? In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to engage in discussions and facilitate meetings with our Executives and Leadership team, positioning you at the center of some of our strategic decision-making discussions.
We are actively seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and organized individual to join our dynamic team as our new Corporate Risk Advisor. Working closely with and supporting the Corporate Risk Manager, you will contribute significantly to Quadra's corporate-wide risk management initiatives. Your role involves active participation in the development and execution of Quadra’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, risk management programs, methods, and tools.
The position is critical to maintaining and enhancing the organization's risk management initiatives and involves a diverse range of tasks, including pinpointing and evaluating risks, tracking and monitoring, as well as implementing effective controls and facilitating transfers of risk. Collaborating closely with the Corporate Risk Manager, the Corporate Risk Advisor plays a vital role in supporting the organization's risk management efforts, such as identifying, assessing, tracking, monitoring, controlling, and transferring risks.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Corporate Risk Advisor?:
Legal and Insurance Collaboration (40%)
- Verify the adequacy of supplier insurance coverage,
- Evidence Quadra insurance coverage to clients in accordance with contractual agreements,
- Support the company’s insurance program, including claims management,
- Review risk related provisions in Quadra’s supplier and client agreements, and
- Support legal activities within the organization such as legal disputes, trademark applications, legal and regulatory compliance matters, and more.
- Support the Corporate Risk Manager in establishing strategic, tactical, and operational objectives for Quadra’s risk management program and in developing project plans to achieve them,
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the internal risk management function, and
- Foster and facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of a healthy risk culture by ensuring strong partnerships with internal collaborators.
- Conduct independent risk assessments in accordance with best practices for assessment, tracking, and control,
- Support in developing, executing, and coordinating Quadra's incident response plans, including crisis management and business continuity, and
- Support the continuous improvement of the crisis management strategy, emergency preparedness plans, and business continuity program.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management with professionalism and unwavering integrity,
- Coordinate activities related to simulations and/or exercises or in the event of a crisis management or business continuity plan,
- Coach, train, and guide management and staff of the organization to leverage risk management methods and processing, and
- Collaborate with external risk management partners such as Quadra’s insurance broker, legal counsels, and commercial business partners.
- Excellent judgment, strong analytical, decision-making skills and investigative skills
- Strong time management, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Ability to quickly understand complex situations, to solve problems and to think critically and creatively

- Leader-in-training who can positively influence and support change
- A university degree in law, or an equivalent combination of relevant accreditations and experience
- A risk management accreditation is an asset
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a law-related field, or a relevant industry such as insurance
- Experience in independently conducting investigations, root cause analysis, including documentation and presentation of facts and recommendations
- Experience in developing, implementing, and executing risk management programs, methods, and tools is a valuable asset
- Experience in supporting insurance program renewals, filing claims, monitoring claims, and reviewing certificates of insurance is an asset
- Knowledge of commercial contract law is a strong asset
- Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, and/or logistic industries is an asset
- Experience with consulting published standards and regulations is an asset
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge and experience with Salesforce, and ERP systems is an asset
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English (mandatory); French is considered a strong asset
- Proven ability and experience in negotiation and conceive comprises
