ANZ Procurement plays a strategic role in shaping the Bank we're Building by partnering with the business to get the best from supplier relationships without compromising on cost and value. Our team plays a key role when it comes to realising value, helping ANZ to manage commercial risk, negotiating robust commercial outcomes, while helping protect ANZ’s reputation. From creative services, media, consulting, hardware , software & business applications, infrastructure– if you can see it, touch it or use it, or consume it we're typically involved in helping to source it.
As a Procurement Manager in our Procurement Function, you’ll be pivotal in supporting our vision to build meaningful partnerships with the business and our suppliers to create sustainable commercial value, effectively manage risk and make it easy to work with great suppliers. You will do this by serving as a trusted business partner in the Corporate Services spend portfolio, which includes areas such as marketing, media, creative services, consumer data and sponsorship, and direct to consumer. You will ensure the procurement portfolio's strong performance, effective management of end-to-end lifecycles, and strategy development.

As a Corporate Services Procurement Manager, you will:
Partner with the business to develop sourcing and vendor management strategies, to execute upon strategic procurement initiatives
Work with key stakeholders to maximise commercial benefits for ANZ while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across the Corporate Services portfolio
Work with the business to develop enhance our partnerships with agencies and suppliers focusing in on effectiveness, and performance, and innovation.
Support with triaging procurement intake of business requests, scoping requirements and desired outcomes to enable execution across our operating model.
Develop & deploy robust category plans & sourcing plans that integrate business and corporate strategy, supported by appropriate digital enablers and category intelligence.
Deliver on initiatives to optimise value delivery for ANZ of targeted goods and services with solutions that meet customer’ and business need through proactive development and execution of appropriate strategies.
Collaborate with Group Procurement Category Managers to develop and implement both centralised global or regionalised category strategies and market activity.
Provide guidance for ongoing management of vendors including spend analysis and SRM.
Provide ongoing commercial advice and delivery of the contracting requirements of assigned contracts/Master Services Agreement.
Support the Contract Owner with advice and support, inclusive of spend analytics, identification of scope creep and off-contract spend, and commercial performance reporting.
Partner with New Zealand Outsourcing and Governance and the Legal team along with business stakeholders to ensure that vendor contracts remain complaint with regulatory and compliance obligations

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
An understanding of the marketing, media, brand collateral
Previous experience working as a Procurement Category Manager, or experience working on agency side in a commercial role for a Marketing/Creative, Data or Media agency.
A strong understanding of the Corporate Services procurement category
Commercial curiosity and adept ability to problem solve across complex and ambiguous situations
Superior communication skills and ability to engage, negotiate and influence key stakeholders at all levels
A results orientated mindset with an ability to think through problems and offer alternative solutions to improve efficiency
Proven experience building and maintaining business critical relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and vendors
Sound understanding of risks and appropriate control options across a Corporate Services procurement context
Previous contracting or commercial experience
Ability to act as a trusted business partner who can establish trust quickly, provide sound advice and influence key decision making
