Corporate Trainer - Dublin (Onsite)

Role Details:

Onsite role (5 days per week), Mon-Fri, office in Sandyford (Dublin)

Relocation Package available

Sign on bonus for candidates available to start on the 10th January 2025 - €2,000 gross


Position overview


This role will actively support the on-going training activities within our newly established team of Quality Analysts by coordinating and delivering training to new and existing team members, providing assistance to new hires during the training period, troubleshooting technical issues that may arise in the classroom, guidance and advice. You will be expected to train specialised teams within the department. As a Trainer you will be focused on Incorporating motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention. You will be an enthusiastic, passionate and smart leader who is an excellent communicator who is able to motivate and control a large group of trainees at any given time.


Competencies and Responsibilities


Communication skills:

  • Working with large groups of trainees on a regular basis will require excellent communication skills, including ability to present information in a clear fashion, checking for understanding regularly and talking and acting on feedback where possible.
  • Working with client training departments for new ‘go lives’ and to help ensure a smooth transition of their business into TELUS Digital.
  • Excellent listening skills essential as well as being empathetic to the needs of the agents, management and clients
  • Working with different stakeholders across TELUS Digital to ensure onboarding experience for all new team members is seamless and consistent during recruitment, training and basecamp.


Achievement Orientation

  • Designing and maintaining course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals exercise, assessments and exams.
  • Liaising with the training manager to develop and implement training.
  • Preparing the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment, phone equipment, arranging seating, sharing documents, publishing schedule etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to deliver and facilitate training programmes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and flexibility to work with both groups and individuals.
  • Must have the ability to take ownership of this role, and constantly strive to make continuous improvements to the training and performance function


Developing others

  • Understanding of different learner types and ability to communicate to different learners accordingly.
  • Dealing with New hires and tenured team members going through upskilling training, you would need to be able to find a balance between keeping the group motivated and engaged throughout the training period.
  • Ability to address any concerns that participants may have during the training as well as re-directing them to different departments if needed.


Drive for Results

  • Collaborating with team managers, POCs, and other stakeholders to identify training and performance requirements.
  • Achieving set goals and targets
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes;
  • Maintaining appropriate records of learner development and also resource allocation.
  • Continuously evaluating agent call and case handling with regard to quality and customer service.


Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in delivering training in a group setting as well as on one-on-one basis
  • Previous experience in training needs analysis and training plan design
  • Previous experience in presentations
  • Previous Leadership experience in any capacity
  • Min 2 years working in a role with a similar scope.
  • Availability to work onsite 5 days per week
