Job Summary
The Correctional Officer plays a vital role in maintaining safety and security within correctional facilities. This position involves supervising inmates, enforcing rules and regulations, and ensuring a safe environment for both staff and inmates. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen sense of observation, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inmate activities to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain safety and security standards.
  • Monitor inmate behavior and report any suspicious or inappropriate actions.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents or disturbances, in a calm and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of inmate activities, incidents, and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement personnel and other staff members to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Utilize CCTV systems to monitor inmate movements and facility operations.
  • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals within the facility.

This position requires individuals who are dedicated to upholding the law while ensuring the safety of all individuals within the correctional facility. Candidates should be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding career in law enforcement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.12 - $35.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
