Costing Representative

• Responsible for formatting vendor price lists for entry into Mouser systems.
• Reviewing vendor price lists and identify information pertinent to product investment, pricing, lifecycle, etc.
• Analysis of vendor price lists and the differences between new data and the existing system data.
• Responsible for preparing vendor price list data to update corresponding records in the system.
• Perform part builds for suppliers wherein there are no Mouser part numbers in the system.
• Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking abilities while participating in the total quality process.
• Ability to communicate, professionally and effectively, with all levels of the organization internally and with external customers.
• Solid understanding of Cost Updates processes and guidelines.
• Should act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Costing Associate function and liase with up- and downstream functional departments.
• Generate price protection claims (where applicable) and submit the claims through the proper channels and follow-up, as needed, to ensure claims are processed on the supplier’s side and on Mouser’s side.
• Review Mouser purchase history, on a part number level, as necessary.
• Enter vendor price list updates into the system in a timely and accurate manner to ensure the accuracy of purchase orders and resale pricing.
• Investigative and methodical in the approach to daily work activities. Ability to consciously and confidently implement changes that may directly impact corporate profitability.
• Review various quality control reports, such as Vendor Price List Expiration, and, through research and communication with stakeholders, determine proper system actions.
• Perform root-cause analysis on PO/Invoice Variances, by supplier and propose solutions.
• Research lifecycle discrepancies between Vendor Price Lists and Mouser’s inventory management and product information systems.
• Ensure new Costing Associate staff are trained and gain the necessary level of competency to be effective in the position.
Requires a Degree in BBA/BBM/BCom or any equivalent discipline.
