At RA Tas, we deliver compassionate, high-quality support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing separation, conflict, or emotional distress. Our Early Intervention Services assist families with complex needs to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and enhance wellbeing.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Counsellor to join our supportive team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients navigating relationship breakdown. In this role, you will provide therapeutic counselling to individuals, families, and separated couples—supporting emotional and mental wellbeing, addressing grief and loss, and assessing the effects of family dynamics on children and other members.

You will also collaborate with external services for referrals, maintain accurate client records, and uphold the values and ethical standards of RA Tas—all while contributing to our mission of fostering respectful and positive relationships.

Do you fit the bill

A degree in Social Work, Psychology or an equivalent qualification relevant to therapeutic counselling.
Experience providing a broad range of counselling services in individual or family contexts.
A strong understanding of family dynamics, grief and loss, and the psychological development of relationships.
The ability to engage effectively with diverse clients across various backgrounds and support needs.
Knowledge of mandatory reporting, suicide intervention, and working with people affected by family violence.

Benefits

Salary starting from $ 90,063 to $ 98,188 + Super / *Pro-rata
Subject to your qualifications and years of relevant experience, a 5% loading may be applicable for this role
