We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Counsellor/Case Manager to join our Early Intervention Programs. This role is part of the Reconnect Program, which supports young people at risk of homelessness, disengagement from education, substance use issues, or cultural disconnection.

You will provide therapeutic casework, group work, and community engagement that empower young people and their support networks. You will build relationships and deliver early intervention services that support positive decisions, personal growth, and family and cultural connection.

This is a dynamic and meaningful role that combines therapeutic support with hands-on community collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to lasting, positive change in young people’s lives.

Do you Fit the bill

  • A degree in social sciences, social work, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Experience delivering therapeutic supports to young people and their families, in both centre-based and outreach settings.
  • Understanding of issues such as youth homelessness, educational disengagement, substance misuse, and cultural disconnection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive approach to building community relationships and working collaboratively with schools and service providers.
Benefits

  • Salary starting from $ 87,017 to $ 94,867 + Super / *Pro-rata
  • Subject to your qualifications and years of relevant experience, a 5% loading may be applicable for this role

The Counsellor/Case Manager (Young People) role is offered as a part-time, 12-month fixed-term contract, with days negotiable for the right candidate.
