Courier Driver

Pyramid Services Limited, a trusted logistics company, seeks a dedicated and reliable Courier Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing excellent service and ensuring timely, secure deliveries throughout the Wellington region who will be responsible for the following duties:

• Drive company vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Prioritize the timely and safe delivery of packages to clients and businesses.
• Confirm and document orders before departure and upon arrival, ensuring accurate delivery of all items.
• Assist in the efficient loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage.
• Maintain organized records of deliveries, including signed receipts and delivery notes.
• Plan and adjust daily routes to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce travel time.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and report any issues or delays promptly.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing client inquiries about their deliveries.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.

Other important requirements:

• Available to start as early as 5:30 am.
• Must be able to work on weekends.
• Must have a valid driver's license (NZ or overseas)
• DG Dangerous Goods Endorsement is mandatory
• Must pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
