We are delighted to be looking for a warm, enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Crèche Manager to join our team at Cairde Early Learning Centre in Loughrea, Co. Galway.

This is a full-time, supernumerary position of 37–40 hours per week and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We are looking for someone who shares these values and who will work closely alongside our Crèche Manager, supporting both the day-to-day running of the service and our wonderful Early Years team.

About the Role

As our Deputy Crèche Manager, you will work closely with the Crèche Manager and play an important part in the smooth day-to-day operation of Cairde Early Learning Centre.

Importantly, this is a supernumerary role, giving you dedicated time away from normal room-based duties to focus on management responsibilities, administration, staff support and the overall operation of the service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Crèche Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
• Being a friendly, approachable and supportive presence for our Early Years team
• Assisting with staff organisation, supervision and day-to-day guidance
• Supporting and encouraging high standards of care and Early Years practice
• Assisting with administration, policies, procedures and the general organisation of the service
• Helping to maintain a safe, happy and nurturing environment for all our children
• Building warm and positive relationships with children, parents and families
• Working alongside the Manager and wider team to continually develop and improve our service
• Taking responsibility for the service in the Crèche Manager’s absence

Essential Requirements

• A minimum Level 6 qualification in Childcare/Early Learning and Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to take responsibility when required
• A positive, professional and team-focused approach

Previous experience as a Room Leader, Supervisor, Deputy Manager or Manager would be a strong advantage.
