Job Overview
Drivon is where Toronto eats, goes out, discovers creators, and moves through the city. We are a fast-growing city commerce platform and we are looking for a Creative Director who can make that feel real on screen, on social, and everywhere Drivon shows up.
This is a full ownership role. You are not joining a team of creatives. You are the creative. You will own the brand voice, the visual identity, the content strategy, and the execution from the first idea to the final post. You will work directly with the Managing Director and your work will be seen by everyone who interacts with Drivon.
If you are a creative who wants full ownership of a brand from day one at one of the most ambitious platforms being built in Toronto right now, this is the role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Drivon brand across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and in-app including visuals, copy, video, and everything in between
  • Shoot and edit content yourself including Reels, Stories, short-form video, and photography at real Toronto spots on a consistent schedule
  • Design marketing materials in Canva or Figma including campaign graphics, email headers, in-app banners, and flyers
  • Write all copy including social captions, email campaigns, push notifications, and in-app messaging in a voice that sounds like Drivon and not like a press release
  • Build and execute a content calendar that keeps Drivon active, relevant, and growing week over week
  • Work with merchants and creators on the platform to produce content that drives their visibility and engagement
  • Conceptualize and execute campaign ideas for product launches, merchant partnerships, and city moments
  • Monitor content performance across platforms and use data to improve what is not working
  • Maintain brand consistency across every touchpoint from in-app to out of home
  • Review and approve concepts, designs, and final outputs to maintain brand standards and quality.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to keep the brand innovative and relevant.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.

Skills

  • Proven experience in creative leadership roles with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions.
  • Exceptional visual storytelling skills with proficiency in graphic design, branding, and multimedia production tools.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital media, and user experience best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and foster collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail in execution.
  • Leadership qualities including mentorship, team management, and conflict resolution skills.

Required:

  • Video shooting and editing at a professional standard using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent
  • Graphic design proficiency in Canva or Figma
  • Copywriting across multiple formats including social, email, and in-app
  • Deep understanding of what performs on Instagram and TikTok in the current landscape, not six months ago
  • Content calendar management and independent execution without being micromanaged
  • Based in Toronto with real knowledge of the city including food, neighbourhoods, nightlife, and culture

Preferred:

  • Experience growing a brand’s social media presence from a small following to a significant one
  • Background creating content for a city-focused, lifestyle, food, or tech brand
  • Photography skills for on-location shoots across Toronto
  • Experience collaborating with creators, influencers, or merchants on co-created content
  • Strategic thinking across campaigns, not just individual posts
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite or TikTok Analytics

Nice-to-have skills include experience with motion graphics, video production, or experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
