Your Day-to-Day People

  • Foster a collaborative environment that unites departments into one cohesive team.
  • Oversee daily operations, assign tasks, and ensure the team is staffed effectively.
  • Coach and develop your team through constructive feedback and goal setting.
  • Provide training to ensure compliance and uphold Crowne Plaza standards.
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales as needed to address performance or staffing concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, vendors, and community stakeholders.

Financial

  • Develop accurate forecasts, departmental plans, and productivity reports.
  • Assist with creating and monitoring budgets to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales while minimizing operational waste.
  • Negotiate bookings and sales agreements within established guidelines.

Guest Experience

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring every event is seamless and memorable.
  • Partner with meeting planners during pre-event planning to align on details such as room setup, menu, and technology needs.
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to continuously enhance the guest experience.
  • Host daily check-ins with event planners to address any adjustments, review billing, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Make personalized recommendations for activities that help guests relax and recharge.
  • Monitor and act on client feedback to improve services and foster loyalty.

Responsible Business

  • Promote the Crowne Plaza Saint John Harbour View Hotel as a leading hospitality brand in the local community.
  • Ensure guest safety is prioritized and disruptions are minimized.
  • Advise clients on sustainable event practices to reduce environmental impact.
  • Contribute to team efforts during unexpected situations to maintain service excellence.

What We Need From You

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with hospitality technology tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in catering or a similar setting, with supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Proficiency in the local language(s) and a strong understanding of regional guest preferences.
  • Additional duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
