Job Summary

Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP), a subsidiary of Z’gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments, including construction, haulage, and underground mining services.

Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP) is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with experience in aggregate management for the position of Crushing Superintendent.

The Crushing Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing crushing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance are consistently met. This role includes managing a team of supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel across various job sites.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets clear performance goals and deadlines aligned with company objectives and communicates them effectively.
  • Oversees crushing and screening projects to ensure production of high-quality materials.
  • Monitors equipment utilization and optimizes workflow to maximize efficiency.
  • Effectively communicates with all staff and reports internally on quality and production timelines.
  • Oversees accurate completion of daily production reports, timesheets, inspections, and safety documentations.
  • Sets performance goals, provides coaching, and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Conducts regular safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Participates in safety incidents investigations and reviews.
  • Assists with employee relations and applies the progressive discipline policy fairly and consistently.
  • Ensures timely maintenance and repairs of crushers, screens, conveyors, and other equipment.
  • Coordinates with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Ensures legal obligations are followed and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies along with health and safety guidelines.
  • Promotes a culture of zero incidents and continuous safety improvement.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid G driver's license required.
  • 3+years experience in the aggregate industry in a management or supervisory role.
  • Diploma or degree in a related technical field considered an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
