Job Description

Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Facilitator will be responsible for supporting mature age job seekers over the age of 45 to build confidence in digital literacy with the aim of helping them change career through.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate group sessions in person and online
  • Utilise the pre-built course material to facilitate digital literacy and job searching skills for participants.
  • Assist students with understanding and comprehending course materials
  • Assist with identifying local career opportunities and goals for students
  • Ensure students are on track and progressing through their course work
  • Assist students and provide a tailored way of explaining course material
  • Assist students on boarding their course
  • Upload and maintain documents and files required for course commencement and completion.
  • Ensure that devices and course material are in working order prior to course commencement.
  • Set up and pack up training area daily.
  • Conduct provider engagement to drive referrals.
Skills and Experiences:

  • Must Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Must have Trainer or Facilitator experience
  • Must have experience in RTO or Employment Services
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients and other professionals from diverse cultures
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment
  • Sound administrative skills, attention to detail and commitment to task completion
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Team player but able to work autonomously
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with and genuinely engage with Indigenous and non-indigenous participants and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and time management
  • High Level verbal and written communication skills
  • IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite ability to use Chrome books
  • Strategic thinker. Able to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyze risks, make good judgements, and solve problems
  • Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
  • Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
