Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities in our church and childcare center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
- Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repair skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
